Just came across this Swedish band today at SwedesPlease who said
It sounds like a transgender version of Stevie Ray Vaughn if he/she worked in a traveling eastern European circus and was channelling Tom Waits.
which is kinda true, but I hear more psychobilly & female jazz singers, perhaps with some German cabaret too?. 

Soo,...Psychobilly, Billy Holiday & Ella too maybe, Cabaret & eastern-bloc circus music - that covers it nicely.
Regardless, it's very good indeed & I look forward to a promised ep in 2009; I'd love to see 'em live one day.
